A Vida participates in the decoration of XIPE, a Spanish-Mexican fusion restaurant in Madrid
A confluence of worlds. A very particular alliance of assets. Tradition and future in an irreverent communion. That bets for the difference. That emanates from a fusion that defies all expectations. Exotic. Vibrant. Unique.
So is this culinary temple erected in honor of the Mixtec god of renewal and rebirth, Xipe Tótec, who precisely lends his name to this “Mexican-Mediterranean” restaurant located halfway between a very original concept of Mexican gastronomy and the well-known Mediterranean idiosyncrasy. This is the proposal of XIPE, which is not limited to being a delight for the palate but also expands its universe of flavor to a continent with much to offer.
Located on the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, this gastronomic space conceived and designed by the interior design studio Dichoso Estudio draws from the Mexican tradition to give it a unique twist and give it a rabidly contemporary look while including nods to the Iberian Mediterranean.
Intricate works in fabric and wicker coexist with the purity and simplicity of modern forms and textures, in which their geometries give rise to a game of past and very stimulating contrasts. A divertimento sustained by a diverse range of elements, some of them born from the multiple hands that make up A Vida, from the work and expertise of our teams that show once again their capabilities in leisure and hospitality projects.

A continuum with a lot of personality
Under the precepts of a neutral, emphatic and natural architecture inspired by the work of the popular Mexican architect, Luis Barragan, the space created by Dichoso Estudio embraces a different uniformity. It is, at the same time, coherent and diverse, supported by a rich universe of lively textures present in the exclusive coverings that bear the indistinguishable stamp of A Vida.
And if XIPE‘s aesthetic formula stands out for anything, it is for its serene and welcoming atmosphere, which is sustained by an infinite sea of broken whites and cream tones of our sandy finishes, which exponentially multiply the warmth that light can bring to diners.
However, this continuity is momentarily destabilized by a collection of stylistic details that change the game’s rules, giving way to new volumes, colors and proportions that stimulate visitors’ visual field.
Proof of this is the original fixtures created by our teams and the different signs that populate the place, baptizing every corner of XIPE with a note of unforgettable originality.
