A Vida takes part in the interior design of Mudrá, a minimalist plant-based restaurant in the heart of Madrid
Tranquillity. Sobriety. Simplicity. Sophistication. These are the fundamental pillars on which Mudrá is based, a unique gastronomic space that exists halfway between the physical and the spiritual plane.
Its name comes from the ascetic universes of Buddhism and Hinduism, referring to the symbolic gesture of the hands that encourages the channeling of the energy of those capable of feeling it. The energy translates, in this case, into peace, harmony and flavor.
Located on the central Calle de Recoletos in Madrid, Mudrá finds the perfect recipe for presenting its container in the most elemental way. A unique container that is due to the content it holds. A very careful one that, in turn, takes care of those lucky enough to enjoy it.
Its plant-based philosophy underpins every aspect of its experiential proposal, emphasizing respect not only for the health and well-being of diners but also for the planet. Consequently, the interior design of the place had to be built around this very special way of thinking.
With this objective in mind, it was only a matter of time before Mudrá and A Vida crossed paths. Our specialized hospitality teams were responsible for designing and creating exclusive furniture pieces for the occasion. Elements that reinforce the unique atmosphere of this culinary temple.
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication
Clean geometries. Essential volumes. Neat textures. Analogous colors. Distancing itself from the complex and the artificial, the space in which Mudrá operates is intelligently simple.
But, at the same time, it harbors a complexity that makes it a pleasant and welcoming place. The unique arrangement of elements, combined with a unique treatment of light, makes the presence of each piece take on an undeniable relevance.
Among them is, for example, the set made up of the circular table and the four supports of one of the dining rooms. With their bare textures and pinkish tones, these pieces of furniture combine functionality and aesthetic enjoyment to perfection—pure A Vida.
Its creative use of the most basic forms builds a unique universe. A dimension with the capacity to glimpse an indistinguishable concept of the future but which, at the same time, remains anchored in the familiar. In the cozy. In the natural.
Mudrá is, in short, a genuine experiential journey between worlds—a return to the origin of things from a fiercely contemporary perspective.
