Chains that don’t bind, the symbol of A Vida and La nena

Our chains connect and unite spaces. That is why they are visible today in many of the projects we shape

In the aesthetic universe of La nena—and by extension, the entire A Group ecosystem—there is an element that, without saying a single word, says it all. These are chains. Functional sculptures, suspended metaphors, symbols of an identity that shuns the predictable to embrace the genuine.

In every La Nena store, as well as in the spectacular A Vida showroom in Lugo, these large-scale pieces welcome us like portals to a world where design is thought and manufacturing is art.

Designed and manufactured by A Vida teams, each chain is unique. Some are monumental, over ten meters long, while others are more subtle, measuring barely one or two meters in length.

Some evoke the marine chains that anchor ships—solid, poetic, capable of holding dreams without letting them drift away. Others recall the bicycle chains that took us down childhood paths: tactile and sustainable evocations that reconnect us with the physical, tangible, real world.

Chains that draw on a way of thinking and doing

Each link is different. Each curve is a gesture. There are no replicated molds or mass production. There is vision. There is expert craftsmanship. There is a deep respect for the material and the process.

These chains are not mass-produced. On the contrary, they are born from a conscious decision not to replicate what already exists, not to do what everyone else does.

They are the result of a philosophy that combines art, industry, and an uncompromising desire to create from the essentials.

In the A Group showroom, in the creative heart of Lugo, the imposing chain that presides over the space is not just decoration; it articulates the space and narrates it. It hangs from the ceiling with the clarity of a clear idea and the grace of a beautiful object. It traces lines of escape towards the unique, reminding us that beauty is not in the ornament but in the intention.

Thus, the chains of A Vida and La nena have become a recognizable sign, a firm yet light gesture that speaks of the group’s manufacturing and creative capabilities. They are a code of their own, a statement of principles. They condense innovation, the ability to make with our hands what was once only an image in our minds, the will to dream differently.

Our chains do not bind; they connect. They link us to the earth and our imagination, to who we are and who we can become. They are, in short, a way of saying—without the need for words—that here, in this group, design is our soul and manufacturing is our pride.
